Carl Jenkinson is an English defender, who has won a solitary senior international cap for his country, and currently plays for Championship side Nottingham Forest.

The 28-year-old defender began his youth career playing for Charlton, signing his first professional contract in 2010 and making eight league appearances during his time at the club. He also spent time on loan at Welling and Eastbourne Borough.

In June 2011, Jenkinson was signed by Premier League side Arsenal for a reported £1m fee. Over the next eight seasons, Jenkinson made 70 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, 41 of which came in the Premier League. He also spent two spells out on loan at West Ham, making 32 Premier League appearances during the 2014/15 season, then a further 20 league appearances in the 2015/16 season.

Struggling for regular game time back at Arsenal, Jenkinson spent the 2017/18 season out on loan at Championship side Birmingham, but found his time there limited due to injuries and being overlooked for other players. Jenkinson managed just seven Championship appearances during the season.

Keen to restart his career, the defender joined Championship side Nottingham Forest in January 2019 for an undisclosed fee, though has made just five league appearances to date.

Internationally, Jenkinson has one senior England cap and represented both England and Finland at youth level, qualifying for the latter through his mother.
