Marash Kumbulla is an promising young Albanian international centre back, with a single senior cap to his name to date, who currently plays for Italian Serie A side Hellas Verona, having progressed through the club’s youth development ranks.
The 20-year-old Italian-born central defender, who hails from Peschiera del Garda but opted to represent the country of his parents at both youth and senior international level, progressed through the Hellas Verona youth setup as one of the club’s brightest talents.
He made the step up to the club’s first team in 2017 and began training with the senior squad, making his professional debut the following season in August 2018, starting in an away defeat to Catania in the Coppa Italia.
Later that season, Kumbulla went on to become a regular on the team’s bench and make one further substitute appearance in Serie B against Cittadella as his side earned promotion to the 2019/20 Serie A via the second division playoffs.
Now playing in the Italian top flight, Kumbulla has since made 18 league appearances to date and scored once, as well as making another Coppa Italia appearance, this time an extra time defeat to Cremonese.
