Danny Loader is a talented young English forward who currently plays for Championship side Reading, having come through the academy ranks of his hometown club after joining as a youngster from Wycombe.
The 19-year-old Englishman, who is also eligible to represent Cameroon and Nigeria internationally, was born in Reading but initially began his football career playing youth football in the academy ranks of Wycombe. He joined his hometown club Reading at under-13 level in 2012.
Loader quickly progressed through the club’s development ranks as one of the brightest prospects, signing a scholarship contract in the summer of 2016 and representing the under-23s side in the EFL Trophy. He made his senior debut for the club in August 2017, still aged sixteen, as an extra time substitute in the EFL Cup against Millwall.
Prolific for the club’s youth team, Loader increasingly began to establish himself on the periphery of the first team, earning first team chances. To date, Loader has made 28 league appearances for Reading and scored one goal. The young forward has also represented England extensively at youth international level, including winning the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India.
