Troy Parrott is a talented young Irish international striker who currently plays for Premier League side Tottenham, having joined the London club’s academy ranks as a youngster in 2017 from his native Ireland.
The 18-year-old Dublin-born striker began playing youth football for local side Belvedere in his native Ireland, impressing throughout his youth career and securing a move to England in 2017 to join the development ranks at Premier League side Tottenham.
Parrott joined Spurs for an undisclosed fee and spent his first two seasons with the development squad, as well as representing Ireland extensively at under-17 level and then at under-19 and under-21 levels respectively, before his senior debut in November 2019 against New Zealand.
Identified as one of Tottenham’s top prospects, Parrott signed his first professional deal with the club in February 2019 on his 17th birthday and made his first team debut that summer during pre-season. He made his competitive debut for Tottenham in September 2019 against Colchester in the EFL Cup before, in December 2019, aged 17 years, 10 months, he made his Premier League debut in a 5-0 win over Burnley. To date, Parrott has made four appearances in all competitions.
