Darnell Furlong is an English right back who currently plays in the Championship for West Brom, having moved to the West Midlands club in the summer of 2019 after a lengthy spell at fellow second division side QPR.
The 24-year-old Luton-born defender began his career in the QPR youth academy having joined in 2006. Signing his first professional contract with the club in March 2014, Furlong made his senior debut for the club in the Premier League in February 2019 when he faced off against Hull, at the age of 19.
Furlong made 64 league appearances for QPR, as well as loan spells at League Two sides Northampton and Cambridge United, playing 10 and 21 league games respectively, before joining Swindon on loan and making 24 League One appearances, scoring twice, as he continued his development with valuable first team experience.
In July 2019, Furlong signed for West Brom for an undisclosed fee and quickly slotted into the starting side, making 26 league appearances for the club so far this season. He scored his first goal for the club in September 2019 against Huddersfield and has scored twice to date in the league.
