Player Spotlight: Orest Lebedenko

Orest Lebedenko is a Ukrainian under-21 international full back who currently plays for Ukrainian Premier League side Olimpik Donetsk, on loan from Spanish second division club CD Lugo.

The 21-year-old left back began his youth career first playing for local side Pokrova Lviv, before joining the academy setup of local top flight side Karpaty Lviv in 2013. After two years as an academy scholar in the Karpaty Lviv ranks, Lebedenko signed his first professional contract with the club in 2015.

Player Spotlight: Ryan Kent

Ryan Kent is an English winger who currently plays for Rangers, having joined the Scottish top flight club in September 2019 having joined from Premier League side Liverpool.

The 23-year-old attacking left midfielder began his youth career in the academy ranks of Liverpool, having joined the Merseyside club’s books at the age of seven. Kent signed a professional contract in March 2015 but despite being highly rated by staff at Liverpool, Kent managed just one appearance in the FA Cup third round in January 2016 during his time at Anfield, instead spending much of his time away from the club on loan.

Match Report: Manchester Utd 2-0 Manchester City

Manchester has long been home to one of the Premier League’s biggest rivalries, with the blue half of the city having had the lion share of success in the most recent seasons. As such, seeing manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer guide his team to their first league double over their rivals in a decade will have represented a rare cause for celebration for the currently disgruntled Manchester United supporters.

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson was culpable for both of the goals his side conceded to their rivals, though in vastly different circumstances.

Cover Feature: Why Alexander Isak is Sweden’s future star

When the ball nestled in the back of the Djurgarden net after a perfectly timed run and powerful header, it marked not just a 17th birthday to never forget for one local fan, but also the birth of one of Sweden’s brightest young talent’s growing reputation. That player was Alexander Isak.

Having already grabbed the opening goal in the Stockholm derby for AIK, taking a thoroughly ball confidently under his control and firing low and hard into the far corner, Isak’s second sent his side marching on their way to a memorable 3-0 victory over their bitter rivals.
