Player Spotlight: Carl Jenkinson

Carl Jenkinson is an English defender, who has won a solitary senior international cap for his country, and currently plays for Championship side Nottingham Forest.

The 28-year-old defender began his youth career playing for Charlton, signing his first professional contract in 2010 and making eight league appearances during his time at the club. He also spent time on loan at Welling and Eastbourne Borough.

Player Spotlight: Samuel Moutoussamy

Samuel Moutoussamy is a DR Congo international who currently plays for French top division side Nantes, having joined the Ligue 1 side from Lyon back in 2016.

The 23-year-old midfielder was born in France to a Guadeloupean father and Congolese mother, beginning his career in the youth ranks of local side Meudon AS. After seven years playing for Meudon, Moutoussamy then moved to another local side, Boulogne-Billancourt, between 2010 and 2011, then spending a short spell at Montrouge FC 92.

A moment of madness from experienced Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina cost Aston Villa the opening goal of the game, as Harvey Barnes took advantage of Reina’s baffling decision to race from his box.

Cover Feature: Ezzeldin Bahader takes veteran striker to new levels

Whoever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks clearly had never met Egyptian forward Ezzeldin Bahader. The professional footballer, playing for Egyptian third tier side October 6, probably on paper wouldn’t seem to impressive – having only just made his professional debut for his new club, even if he did score late in a 1-1 draw with their rivals.

That is until you scan across to the striker’s date of birth, which would inform you that Bahader is in fact 75 years old. That’s not a typo, either. The septuagenarian is currently in the process of bidding to become the oldest ever professional footballer.
